SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING
Engineered hardwood flooring is the most popular choice for our clients. It’s made of a ply bottom layer and a real hardwood top layer for increased stability, and therefore is not prone to shrinking or warping in changing environmental conditions, which can be a problem with solid wood flooring.
There is a wide variety in thickness, length and colour to meet all your needs. Because engineered wood has a real wood top layer it can be sanded multiple times over many years, effectively achieving a new floor finish every time.
The solid hardwood floors we supply and install are generally old reclaimed boards. These look particularly great in older properties where clients wish to have a more traditional style in keeping with their homes. We use high end quality wood from specialist reclaimed yards both here in the UK and other European countries.
